BeReal is a French social app that allows users to take a photo of themselves and post it within 2 minutes of receiving a notification from the application, which arrives irregularly once a day. RealPeople (celebrities) and RealBrands (brands) users are also required to post in response to “occasional notifications,” as in the past, so they can get a behind-the-scenes look at celebrities’ lives and brand activities without editing or scripting. When general users tag official accounts, the official accounts can also see the posts of general users, thereby activating fan interaction and communication. The concept of this service is to “build genuine friendships,” and it is attracting attention as a “social networking service that doesn’t need to be photogenic. However, you can only post once a day, and you can take as many pictures as you want, but the number of times you have taken a picture is displayed, so people will know that you have taken a new picture.

BeReal is designed to capture real, unedited moments, so you cannot use filters or edit your photos.
BeReal and Instagram are both social media for sharing photos, but there are some important differences.
BeReal allows users to post only once per day in response to irregular notifications. Instagram, on the other hand, allows users to post photos and videos at any time.
BeReal does not allow filtering or photo editing and encourages users to share and post unedited current conditions; Instagram allows a variety of filters and editing tools, and users can correct photos before posting.
Real or not
BeReal is designed to capture unedited, realistic moments, and is less likely to show the kind of reflective photos often seen on Instagram.
BeReal engages friends more genuinely and authentically; Instagram is also a platform for sharing life moments, but with the ability to curate and edit posts, it can sometimes feel less spontaneous.
BeReal’s user interface is simpler than Instagram’s; while Instagram allows users to view other people’s profiles in a grid-like format, BeReal allows users to view a calendar with thumbnails of their daily photos view.
Each platform has its own strengths and is designed for a different social media experience.
